Recently, I had a chance to play with the Nintendo Wii for the first time.

I thought about getting one, but I’ve already got a PSP and PS2. I play them here and there, but not so much anymore, so I was thinking I don’t really need another video game system.

But after playing with the Wii, I thought it was amazing. It was so much better than I anticipated.

I mostly played bowling in the Wii Sports package, and I thought it was great, so I’m going to get one for myself.

Also, I think I’ll pick up Wii Fit for my kids – I haven’t seen it in action, but some of their friends love it.

If you haven’t played the Nintendo Wii, it’s so much different from what you’re used to in the past with passive games from the couch.

It’s such an active, fun experience with the Wii.

There are all types of animals and breeds to choose, including seasonal favorites like reindeer at Christmastime.

It’s a safe and fun environment for children to play on the computer, and it ended up being the trick to getting my oldest daughter interested in the computer.

She loves playing on the Webkinz site, and while she’s there, she’s becoming increasingly comfortable with the keyboard and mouse.

Since they’re affordable, averaging $10 each, they also make a good gift for a kid’s birthday party.

The PSP 2000 Console, also known as the PlayStation Portable, is a small, and obviously portable version of the PlayStation video game system.

The PSP has all of the PlayStation games you love (at least, I love them), like Madden Football and FIFA Soccer, but it’s not just about video games. This device is an integrated handheld entertainment system designed to handle multiple applications — music, video, communication, and wireless networking, with games as its primary driver.

I took a look at one of my sites, and the PSP browser displays the mobile version in the nice sized 4.3-inch wide screen, high-resolution TFT display.

At slightly more than half a pound, I plan to bring it whenever I travel, and I think it will be great in the airport, since it can tap into WiFi.

PSP also adopts a newly developed, proprietary compact but high-capacity (1.8GB) optical disc, Universal Media Disc (UMD), as its storage medium, plus Memory Stick Pro Duo storage. I picked up a SanDisk Memory Stick Pro Duo for less than $50.

Additionally, the PSP plays MP3 audio and MP4 video, plus you can watch movies on UMD (Universal Media Disc), the same disc slot as you use for the games.

I’m actually looking forward to the next time I have a flight, because of my new PSP.

The Laser Stars Projector unit is just about 10inches tall, and it projects a combination of green laser stars and blue gaseous clouds wherever it is aimed.

It’s a startling thing to view with the clouds and thousands of stars moving around and changing before your eyes.

And the Laser Stars Projector serves a dual purpose. Kids love it (at least mine do) and have a blast watching the shooting stars after their bedtime stories.

Plus, it is a nice little romantic view for the couple that doesn’t get a chance to hang out under the real stars.

Check it out and you’ll be seeing stars.

My husband and I had a party out our house last year and as a hostess gift we received “Utterly Outrageous Drinking Games Compendium” from a friend of ours.

Now, not that we’re big on drinking ourselves into oblivion, I do have to tell you that this collection of adult drinking games is actually quite funny. It definitely can turn any gathering into a night to remember.

There are 25 games in all in this wacky tin container with names like Warthog, Mutation, The Probe, Pucker Up, Jekyll & Hyde, Bump and Grind and more. It comes with 1 pack of playing cards, 1 pack of forfeit cards, a pad & pencil, 5 dice, a ping-pong ball (used for Beer Pong), 4 straws and a ribbon. There are very detailed instructions on how to play each game as well.

While I’m not condoning extreme drinking, I have to say that players definitely tend to cast their inhibitions aside and the games become much funnier, after a couple of beers. That said, drinking booze is not mandatory to play any of the games, so you won’t have to leave out any of your guests.

It definitely makes a great hostess gift or stocking stuffer for the holidays. Hope you check it out.

Today’s review is on the Micro X-Copter, the world’s smallest radio-controlled helicopter.

It’s only 6” long and weighs less than ½ an ounce. It comes out of the box already assembled and is made out of polypropylene foam, so it’s very sturdy.

What’s really cool about the helicopter is that it’s so light and small that it can also be flown indoors without having to worry about it damaging the furniture. It’s definitely fun for the kids on rainy days. It has two propellers and maneuvers similar to a real helicopter with an altitude and rotor speed control.

It takes 6 AA batteries and charges by plugging the cord into the helicopter. The light on the box lets you know when it’s charged and each charge lasts about 10 minutes.

It isn’t recommended for children under 5 because of the small parts, but big kids and adults really enjoy it. It also makes a great birthday or holiday gift.
