Thanks for this comparison, it helped me to pick the camcorder. After I saw this video here and read a few other reviews e.g.

Shawn: Which of the video settings did you have the Vado on for this comparison? I missed it if you stated it...

Also, I need to check if the Vado has an underwater case, which the Flip does. Want it for my kayak fishing website, so you can see where that might help :)

Are you talking about the editing software? I didn't change anything on the Vado.

So far no hard underwater case for the Vado, but there is a "pouch" which is good to 5 meters. $30, made by creative.

I think creative has been good with lenses and stuff related. I'm not sure about this cam, but I have desktop cam by creative and it works very fine.

HAHA this is funny. I think they bought stink. Even if it is a knockoff. You should just get a real digi cam.

I have great experiece with the Vado cam. I bought about 1 month ago and I haven't had any problems with.
