Panasonic BL-C131A Network Camera Wireless 802.11

September 13th, 2007 · View Comments

The Panasonic BL-C131A Network Camera Wireless 802.11 is a wireless remote video monitoring camera. It’s great as a nanny cam, or to watch a baby or pet, or even to monitor your house when you are away.

It’s a very cool device and the way it works is that it’s completely wireless and it connects to your wireless router. If you don’t have a router, you won’t be able to use this camera.

You can watch the video from a Web browser or even from a mobile phone.

You have the options of capturing the footage in MPEG-4 (streaming video) and JPEG (still photo) formats, and if you choose to capture JPEG, you can have it refresh a set increments like every 5 or 10 seconds.

It’s a great monitoring device, and it’s pretty discreet. It looks sort of like a baby monitor (the plain old audio kind), so if you’re trying to observe somebody without them noticing, it’s a cool device for that purpose.

For the price range, this is the best one I’ve seen, and it’s easy to set up.
